So what's the magic offset number for 255s?

magic? i dont know if its magic but i run a 45 offset so ill have more space on the inside. i need the space so i can get more camber at the track. if the rotas are 48 like most of them are, you may not need to cut your rear fenders, because the wont sick out as far. rolling would work just fine. i was talking to the guys at AIM, who i got my tires from and he said something in the range of -3 offset in rear and -4 up front for track/race use. im still working on the magic setup at the track, tire pressure seems to be the key.

Making them fit.
It seems everyone running 255/40/17's has a little different setup.
Mine:
Volk CE28N's 17X8.5 (+44)
Toyo RA-1's
Front Camber: -3.5
Rear is currently at -1.1
(need to install the adjustable tophats on the rear and the last adjustable lateral link so I can get the camber and toe out I am looking for)
Did some cutting of the rear fenders to make it all happen.
