Why are threads being moved out of the Northern CA Classifieds?

Definitely think it is a bad play to move local vendor threads out of the Nor Cal Classifieds. I have been in the industry for several years now during which I have advertised on i-Club but it has never been an issue for vendors to post in that section. Majority of our sales on i-Club are through the Nor Cal Classifieds so without those sales things would have to be thought out whether it is worth paying to advertise on a forum that doesn't bring anything back. Some sales the pricing is only good enough to offer to local customers. Because we also do installations which is all based on local customers we should have a means to advertise directly to the local market. Threads posted in our section or the vendor section don't get the hits that threads in Nor Cal Classifieds get. I know that all the local vendors can agree with my above statement and i-Club should acknowledge what the people of Nor Cal and their paying vendors want.

I'm in favor of having the vendor threads in the local classifieds; I was glad to have found LIC's 10% promotion, and was going to take advantage of whatever it was GST was doing right before I headed to school. I think in general they are more likely to be good deals than spam. However I can also see this from the administrative point of view. If I were in the position of an admin I might consider making a sub-category inside of local classifieds to house the vendor classifieds.

I think the vendors over the years being self-governed have done a great job as well as been very respectful by not flooding the section or abusing it. I do like akdmx idea of a "vendor" section among the Nor Cal Classifieds.

Greg, your last suggestion is a good one, and acknowledges how much of the business for i-club is in this area. I'll ask the admins about doing it.

I think us vendors are quilty of abusing the classfieds sections from time to time but its not flooded and a complete mess. I think most of us have all been respectful of that for sure...BUT we all have our moments.
with that being said, I do like the sub category section idea...makes the most sense to me. Our business's should be able to promote to our demographic, which Norcal is
my $0.02 and agreement with others

When can we, the vendors, expect a response from mods and/or i-Club? If there is a solution that involves us being able to reach direct to Nor Cal again it would be nice to see my threads moved back.
