I told Bernanke rate cut wasn't going to help your detail funds, but he wouldn't listen.

North bay? I in the south bay and I often drive to customer's house to provide the service. So no strange neighborhood, you can sleep in and do your things while I take care of your car.
OOPS!! I was thinking of another detailer...

sorry for the confusion.

Roo,
Once again, I apologize in advance and I would really like to bottom this out. Did you mean I told them that I don't have time for them or simply too far for me to travel? I remember couple of folks from the north of the gate, but all their packages were too small to worth my while. I think the only time I've turn down a customer is when he/she is too far for me to travel not that I don't have time for them. I might not have the slot open on their preferred schedule, but that would simply because I am already booked, and I always provide the next opening.

And thanks for your suggestion on a weekend detailing. If you have several cars lined up with good size package, I have no problem coming up. I can't go that far and do a $20 car wash if you know what I mean. Even for 5 cars, it's hard for me to justify when there are bunch of folks down here that need my services.

Bottom line, I don't mean to dis any of the potential customers including you. But I do have to draw a line on how far I am willing to go. If I can service another customer with the time I use to travel on the road (for example, north of the gate), it's hard for me to justify. Once again, I apologize for any inconvenience, frustration, and disappointment. And I really appreciate your referrals, even though they didn't work out.

I might be reading your post wrong, but I feel like you are pretty dissatisfied with my not making it to the north of the gate. I know other folks have stated it's too far, but it's just simply that, too far. I wish to settle this even I may or may not be able to provide you the services.

BTW, when was this? <- this is very important piece of info...

Sincerely,

Leo

We have two cars in desperate need of cleaning. There are at least two more North Bay folks in this thread who state the same problem as I do...

Anyone for a weekend of detailing up here?? We have three "customers" for you if you come on up. Need a place to crash? I'm sure we have an extra bedroom if you don't mind sleeping with a set of BBS wheels and some other random tools and car parts (king size bed, though).

if financially able to, maybe you can do my car after the next rally-x, that'd make some great before/after pictures

Gas alone makes it hard to consider long trips as worthwhile :\

So sorry for the brain freeze. There was another detailer around these parts (who I haven't seen much of lately) whose services I was describing.

:embarrassed:
