For some people, it's just a hobby and usually you get bored so you want something new. Rinse, wash, repeat. Happens every other year or so.

haha, i think i got subyd out too.. my wrx went back to stock for over a year too, and im now starting to part back in.. hehe... it also probably helps that i have to stare at facken imprezer's car every damn day...

nsxs are nice, long gears...cruise highways on 3rd
but its just too damn overpriced....unless you get a used one

some people are idiots and think just because they can 'afford' a WRX or STI, or similar, they can afford to maintain it. it's a big difference.

also, they can't drive, and break trannies, rear diffs, etc, and are shocked that the dealer won't warranty the parts. granted, this is a real ego killer because most people are under the general assumption they can drive just fine, but this is not the case.

i'm not slamming people who break parts under normal conditions. but being able to afford a vehicle and then being able to afford maintenence are two totally separate things.

my friend sold his STI because after he was hit with a 1K brake job (oem everything from the dealer, pads+rotors), he realized, that a sports car of that caliber was difficult to maintain. i told him 'WTF do u expect?! u don't get that kind of performance for nothing!'

and he realized i was right.

hell no....FWD = Teh_Ghey
if i wanted ONLY a commuter car then yeah a honda would do just fine...but IMO... Hondas arent very good performace cars unless its an S2k (i want one ) or an NSX

I think it's probably more along the lines that people are getting tax refunds or coming up on some money, and are upgrading their upgrades, and selling off the older parts.
