I don't understand. I waved like three times at this wrb wrx this morning and he just flat ignored me. I know he saw me because he turned his head. Is it because the subie community is getting bigger that we start getting bad apples?

It's the same for the BMW folks too. I'll see a fellow M3 and give him the "thumbs up" and he'll just look at me like I stole his wallet. I think people in general just aren't friendly anymore. My $0.02.
I got a single wave while driving my forester, and I was pretty nice about waving back.
But in general, people have to be careful. Might get shot at, you know? Weird people out there... be careful

There will always be those people out there. Since the wrx has been around for 4 years now, more and more common folk are buying them and don't know about the general courtesy of waving at fellow subaru owners.
I wave to everyone...all the time. Sometimes I drive the GF's CRV and wave forgetting I'm not in the suby and get strange stares
A while back I was on 92 going to hayward and saw Jeremy (Krinkov). I honked and gave the thumbs up on reflex. Of course, the gesture wasn't reciprocated. My GF and friends think I'm a nut for saying what's up to other subies.

when i first got my suby about a year ago i didnt know about the whole waving thing until i saw people waving at me and i started to catch on. Ive noticed, like all of you, that there are a lot of suby owners that dont wave back. I agree with ryan that there are more common people buying them, so give it some time. Im sure they will catch on.

majority of the time people dont wave. my GF actually waves if she is riding shotgun and someone passes me on that side. but as stated before, i get plenty of waves in tahoe and sac area.
i wave always ... but every time somebody doesn't wave or straight up avoids even looking at me i get less enthusiastic about it.
while i was driving my old beat up caprice people waved back a lot more

i wave to both wrx and wagons most of the time they look at me like a freakin idiot, i miss the good old times when everyone was freindly
correction, i don't wave to soccer moms driving vagons and stuff. I try to make an eye contact with the person and if he seems like he knows what the hell he is driving then i will wave
