i use mozilla too and often it will tell me unable to open page but i just close my browser and re open it again and hope it opens the page up correctly.
im still experiencing some problems and if it does go on ill call and complain

try changing your DNS server from comcast's to 66.159.225.66
I just had a couple people try it on their comcast lines and all better now.
That IP points to my BIND server on my DSL line, 6Mbps download, 700Kbps upload. so I can handle a bit of extra DNS traffic.

you could switch IP provider #'s like that? how do you switch back ( for future reference, my cable net is working fine now )

+1 for DSLExtreme! I am surprised ComCast has not brought up other DNS servers and changed the DNS servers that the DHCP servers are pushing out.

here are instructions for windows XP
1. Click on Start --> Control Panel --> Network & Internet
Connections --> Network Connections
2. Right click on Local Area Connections and select
Properties
3. Click on Internet Protocol [TCP/IP] --> Properties
4. Select Use the following IP Address
5. Select Use the following DNS server addresses
6. Enter 66.159.225.66 as the Preferred DNS server
