what's the updates with that?
I was keeping close watch on it but haven't the last week or so.
Last I knew market view was that it was going to get released at too high of a price. I was thinking about dropping down a couple grand on it....as much as $5k and selling like 3-5 days later for a small gain.
I figured...hey...each share goes up...say $20 in 3 days...very easily could...that's like.... $900 in 3 days...I'll take it and go before it tanks and drops to like $65 over the next couple months to reach it's true market value...NO where near $110 a share....
if it was still climbing I might hold it until the first day it drops...week or two and try to make a couple grand.
better get back into my market research if I'm gonna do it...I'll talk to my folks....they made $10k in one day with Dell a couple years back...haa.

speculation -- better be careful if you don't have fund liquidity to speculate. i'm holding off on google despite the hysteria that the IPO has generated.
personally, i think there are better stocks to hold than google at this point.

they have revised the price range expectations. it is now around 75-85/share. i think they screwed themselves with this auction model, from what I've read there hasn't been the kind of interest that they expected.

Actually...that's why I was gonna wait out the first couple of days of frenzy. I honestly don't really understand their auction model and I didn't want to be screwed over by overbidding.
I still think it's a great technology and will be a great buy after the hysteria is settled.

actually the reason their doing the auction...supposedly...is joe schmoe can get in on it. usually only people with ties to investment bankers can get in on IPO's.
You have to be approved and fill out mad paperwork before you can even BID on the stock so don't think if you haven't already started the process you can drop in a few ducats and ride the wave.
