But yeah, the okonomiyaki there's ok; just a little too thick IMHO. I kinda like okonomiyaki to be thinner and slightly crispy on the edges.

For restaurant okonomiyaki, I go to either Izumiya or Mifune-Don (the one in the Miyako Mall near the $1 store, NOT the one on restaurant row) and order the "Modernyaki". It's a Hiroshima-style dealy, where the base is a thinner okonomiyaki w/ crispy edges, then topped w/ yakisoba, then topped w/ an omlette, okonomi sauce, Kewpie mayo, shaved bonito, pickled ginger, etc. This kinda 3 layer is the minimum needed to be considered Hiroshima-style, but an old college friend of mine from there used to make a 5 layer bad boy hehe. Those 2 places are ok, but I yearn for something even better!
Sweet, thanks for the info! I'll definitely have to try the Modernyaki next time!

No prob! Just keep in mind that they're doing the minimum required for their creation to be called a Modernyaki haha.
