Can we start a betting pool on this??

But seriously, whoever that shop is I would hope they would have enough integrity to admit their fault and come on here and own up to what they did. Especially if they're a "well liked local shop". Obviously by them staying quiet about this and hoping it will go away is an admission of guilt on it's own. Noah is definitely taking the high road and being the bigger person in this matter. I hope the other party will at least have the ***** to speak up...

That's seriously messed up Noah. I can't believe someone would run your name and the name of the shop through the mud like that. Out of the nearly 3yrs I've been a customer and been here on I-Club I've never seen one complaint regarding LIC or it's employees and that says ALOT. I think I can imagine who the shop may be when you speak of conversions, but it wouldn't be my place to even ask via pm/phone call/email/etc. because I know you're better than that and won't even discuss those matters to the public even in private. I still can't believe how low someone would get just to gain an advantage in a situation like this.

The answer MIGHT lie within your own name...

Which shops are in the Bay Area?
Which shops enjoy a particularly good reputation and a high profile?
Which shops MIGHT have some issues which don't allow them to complete a swap project?

It's obviously not LIC...

So who else could it be?
ya, sorta what i figured

Naturally people WILL talk and will want to gossip, but seriously LIC isn't going to give up the name. It's not their nature to do so and that is why they're respectable. Of course people are also curious to want to know...but I don't think you'll find the answer here guys. If anything it's just escalating the situation to another unwanted level.

If you really gotta have a name, then READ the thread.

Don't just read the EXACT TEXT of what has been written, but the subtle hints and clues...I'm not going to point them out and make them obvious, but the answers are out there. Trying to get Noah to stoop down to that level isn't going to work. RIght now, if they're playing this smart, they've already removed the archival footage in the time frame from which this happened.

Use your critical thinking skills, figure out what's not only been said, but what's NOT been said...and by whom. Figure out which shops in the Bay Area advertise themselves as capable of handling a conversion. It's obvious that you can rule out LIC Motorsports from the list...and that leaves...

...how many?

Maybe it's just from my experience where I work, but I can tell that's a Subaru WRX transmission...and if someone told me that WASN'T a WRX transmission, that would send up some warning flags in my head about the competence of that particular shop.
