I almost bought a Bell 47, but lessons cost more than the helo.
Nah, this one is his favorite.

I love helicopters, I like the UH60M and the EC135/BO105
btw the helicopter in the first picture is a sky crane, its used to move containers, they often have containers designed to drop water.

As cool as helos are, and how bad *** some of them can be, I don't trust them AT ALL... ZERO PERCENT TRUSTAGE!!!
After an incident in Germany with a Chinook, and all the crazy stories I hear about helo crashes (see Colin McRae and his family that died in a crash as the most recent in memory), you can't get me anywhere near one. Only one I would ride in would be a rescue chopper that was rescuing me from certain death.
<---- Big fat scardy cat when it comes helos and spiders (ones that can kill you).

Hey Paul I have some Skycrane pics for you!!
Just a sample of what it hidden away on my harddrive...all live action shots taken by me.
In case it is not obvious, being under one of these is one hell of an experience. I was almost washed off a mountain in Idaho due to a communication issue between
a crane, myself, and a coworker who was also calling in drops. I have NEVER run that fast!!! Even on the ground they are an awesome piece of machinery...
...but I agree with Brucelee. I have spent enough time in Helicopters to know that it is not an ideal place to be.

And a couple others:
