Putting a cover on it really does work, most people would put on on it anyway. I have 5 bars no matter how I hold it.

well now that the phone also has a GLASS back! you'd be a retard to not have it in some kind of case!!! because the likeliness of it breaking from a fall is VERY HIGH and with no insurance you'll be stuck forking out full retail value to replace it.

and yes the bars/signal problem is real! but not as bad as people are playing it out to be IMO, just keep your finger off the little tiny black strip

my Blackberry Pearl has been to hell and back. It lost its pearl and it still functions with shortcuts!

Whats the point of the glass back? signal? or weight? why not stainless steel or aluminum?

Those metals rob signal strenth

This new glass back is designed to be really tough but its still glass ... = breaks

They went this route to cure the scratching on the 3g's plastic backs, since the glass is highly scratch resistant ( tho some have reported being able to scratch it under heavy use)

haha. I love how people are paranoid of scratching their stuff. I can see having a rubber shock absorbing case, but when people leave the factory scratch resistant film on their stuff is hilarious.

You can hardly read my engraving on the back of my touch, that metal is so scratched up.
