So I put my old BB up for sale on here and on CL. Ive already gotten a couple spam emails where they tell me to ship it out first and then they will send payment

But yesterday I had someone txt my google number and they sounded interested. As things progressed I quickly became suspicious. They were going to give me $250 + shipping when I was only asking $80... So i figure, sure ill play along.

Then last night I get two emails from paypal as below:

In the original emails there were legit paypal pics ect ect... But I looked at the email address they were coming from... they were NOT PAYPAL.

 

Seems legit.

 

So I reported the emails but continued on with the person thru txt... Here is our convo

 

 

Now after that last message I sent, I didnt hear anything back

The whole time yesterday and today this was going on, I was posting about it on another forum. So after I sent the last txt and I never got a response, another member from the east cost sent this message to them:

 

This is why I hate dealing with Craigslist.

 

The ONLY way I am sending anything to anyone is once the funds are verified in my account. Funds not there, no deal.

I had a guy try to pull something like this on me but he actually sent the payment via paypal. There were insufficient funds (I am guessing on purpose), so I didn't send him anything. I figured that was the end of it, but two weeks later, apparently when he got paid, he deposited funds in his account and it paid me LOL

 

LOL! The read of the day. That was good.

LOL. My older brother is a Nigerian prince. Classic. Would have figured they would have gotten the hint at that point. Cancel the transaction? WHAT transaction? He sent you an "official email" from Paypal to see if you were dumb enough to fall for it. WTF?

I haven't gotten one in a LONG time, but one of those "I would like to give you 10million dollars" emails got through spam filter yesterday.
