Who still sells Bridgestone RE01R 225/45/17?

I need 2 new ones. I'm just about to buy a pair and I need to know I can still get 2 matching ones.

You try calling the local Bridgestone/Firestone shops?
Although, they may be sold out...

Check with Wheel Works, they can pretty much get you anything you need and will let you know if it's in their warehouse or not.

Just a tangent, but did y'all know that Wheel Works is owned by Bridgestone.

Did they not change the re01r?

WHEEL WORKS SUCKS *****.

Scraped my brand new rims by dropping the tools on them with my first car.

RIPPED My BUMPER OFF My OLD STI!(*@#*@#@*

yea this was after multiple warnings to be careful, was on pink springs.

I was in there because the jackasses patched my tire for 55 dollars, and then put my ps2 michelin on the wrong way directional or inside out however you want to think of it.

worst tire store ever.

Another tangent, America's Tire Co isn't affiliated in any way with Bridgestone which is why the cost of bridgestone tires @ America's Tire co is so expensive and why they can't get certain tires that wheel works can.

It has something to do with some sort of contract with bridgestone. My friend is a manager there and is the one who told me to get my bridgestone's from tirerack rather then through America's Tire because of the fact that ATC can't get bridgestone's for that great of deals.

IMO i don't even like the re01r. Cold it sucked, and even worse I felt high speed cornering, when you started to break loose was just uncomfortable. I can't believe they are faster than pilot sport 2, but maybe so in ideal conditions.

Right now on the new sti I still have my re70's, not sure what I'll change too when they are toast, not sure if ps2 will loose a lot of grip towards re70 or not in the dry.

I had those tires twice (stock STi tires, one set came with my car, and the second set came on the gold stock wheels I traded for) and I liked them a lot when they were on the car... I switched to Yokohama S-Drive tires which were HORRIBLE and it was a HUGE downgrade (HUGE!), so in desperation I jumped on the tirerack hankook tire deal (the Hankook RS2's) and I couldn't be happier!

Cheap tires usually SUCK, and I've had my experiences with tires that had good reviews but cost 50% of what other tires of the same type cost (See Kumho 712's) and I have been nothing but disappointed, but the hankooks, which cost about half of what other tires in it's class cost, have done nothing but impress me! They have been GREAT tires and I like them way better than I liked the stock STi tires.

The Hankooks are way more predictable, have a great deal of grip, are quiet and don't squeal, and the grip is also great in the rain. The best part is that they cost around $100 each and are comparable to tires that cost almost double. I say sell your two existing tires and buy some Hankook RS2's (RS2 Ventus) and be done with it, you wont be disappointed.

Oh man, that sounds AWFUL!

I only allow America's Tire Co to touch my wheels/tires... They are very knowledgeable about all aspects of their work, and they warranty all their work and do price matching, and if you buy from them they give you really good deals and price breaks on things like mounting and balancing (free if you buy from them).

My best friend is a manager there (like I mentioned earlier) and he's told me all sorts of stories, but no matter what the problem or what they did wrong, they always go out of their way to make it right, a lot of the time they go out of their way to make things right that they didn't even cause.

That's the problem w/ discontinued products... hard to find! If you ever need "early" replacement due to unrepairable damage, you'll be screwed!

How about Falken Azenis RT-615? $91 ea. SHIPPED after $80 rebate if you buy 4. Although I heard they get greasy on track...

How about Sumitomo HTR Z III? $86 ea. PLUS shipping.

Or Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110? $100 ea. SHIPPED.

It's going to be HARD to find Hankook Ventus R-S2 as well since it's being discontinued & replace by Ventus R-S3.
