there was some study that showed the bay bridge has the lowest amount of traffic during the labor day weekend. Everybody already has skipped town before the weekend even arrives. Thats why Caltrans picked labor day weekend every year to do the major repair. I think the bridge is gonna be closed every labor day weekend until the bridge is complete.

All night service Labor Day weekend
Trains run hourly, stop at 14 stations after midnight September 1, 2 and 3
BART runs hourly, overnight service to 14 stations Saturday, September 1, Sunday, September 2 and Labor Day, Monday, September 3 when Caltrans closes the Bay Bridge for earthquake retrofit work. Currently there is no scheduled overnight BART service from 1 a.m.-4 a.m. the morning of Tuesday, September 4th, during the final scheduled hours of the Bay Bridge closure.

During the Labor Day weekend, BART will operate on its normal weekend timetable. On Labor Day, BART will operate on a Saturday schedule. However, after midnight, the hourly, overnight service to the 14 stations will start around 1 a.m. and continue until roughly 6 a.m. on Saturday, September 1, until 8 a.m. on Sunday, September 2nd and until 6 a.m. on Labor Day, Monday, September 3rd.
The following BART stations will have train service overnight during the Bay Bridge closure:
* 24th Street Mission
* Daly City
* Embarcadero
* Powell
* Bay Fair
* Downtown Berkeley
* Coliseum/Oakland Airport
* Concord
* Dublin/Pleasanton
* El Cerrito Del Norte
* MacArthur (timed train transfer point)
* Oakland City Center/12th St. (timed train transfer point and AC Transit transfer point)
* Walnut Creek
* San Francisco International Airport
