so i didn't make it to the i-club track day, but heard it was a good time. just wondering though, who else has really well organized, not super crazy crowded track days? i've been to some NASA events and they are pretty chaotic and crowded. heard really good things about unlimited laps. what about norcal racing, trackmaters, speedventures...etc?

i'd say for beginners unlimitedlaps probably has the best organization you can hope for in terms of providing a safe environment and instructors all the way around. it never is sooper crowded, and always runs smoothly. plus, u get tons of driving time. somewhere close to 2 hours at least.
trackmasters is also a good group to run with, although they do not provide as many instructors. (they still have 'em.) they are also at a good number, and most of their attendees are quite safe.
speedventures is a fast group. if you can handle higher speeds and a bit more advanced arena, then speedventures is great. instruction is not as readily provided, and neither is food
ncrc i have head is a great group to run with. but i personally have never run with them.
in terms of nasa, they do tend to be a bit more chaotic because they are trying to fit in a lot in a short period of time. (races with hpde).
hope that helps

One more vote of confidence for UnlimitedLaps. I went to a UL event for my first track day and things ran really smoothly. Very good instructors too. Also went to an NCDA event at ThunderHill. I liked the event organization and the people running it, but the drift kids that showed up didn't seem to know how to deal with being on a racetrack. The next group I run with is probably going to be HookedOnDriving.com.

great info. thanks. yeah i'd like to try some unlimited laps events. thing that is a bummer about a lot of these groups with the exception of nasa is that they don't run on the weekend.
