Wheres the 100 octane around here?

I've tried searching with google, on I-Club and NASIOC, but I can find out where I can get 100 octane in the Monterey area (Laguna Seca has pumps, but you have to be registered in the event going on to get down to the paddock I believe). Does anyone know where I can get some? I have a 100 octane map and want to have some fun with it before rally-x season...so I can get a feel for how the car drives with it.

You usually can just stop by the paddock at LS. The pumps are right next to the Skip Barber driving school which offers classes to the public on many days. The track might be rented for an HPDE event in which case all you'll need to do is sign a waiver at the entrance and go on your merry way.

Other than that, I have no idea where to get 100 octane in Monterey. You can get it at Almaden and Foxworthy in SJ or a bit off the freeway in RWC.

you can usually just drive in to the paddock at laguna seca. if anyone asks, you're going to the gift shop or getting a brochure off the door at skippy. otherwise you can go over to dot seth, the hot rod shop on abbott in salinas and they sell different fuels.

+1 that's where I fill up. 100 is ~4.70

Now it's kinda expensive but in the summer when 91 was like 3.50/gallon, the extra buck for 100 didn't sound bad at all.

Yes, oh yes. It was sweet misery paying $4.339 a gallon for 100 octane, but it wasn't so bad when I told myself that 91 was 3+ bucks anyways.

Hopefully I won't have another "opportunity" to break out the race fuel map this summer...

On this note..would putting 100 octane in my tank be bad if I didn't have a MAP for it? Currently running 91 octane with a custom tune..

bad? no. will you see any benefits? probably not. Now if you get retuned for 100 you will see lots of benefits

next to useless unless you are tuned for it... not bad for the car though...
