I would like to purchase motor oil in significantly larger quantities (10, 15, 25, 55 gallons), but don't really know where to look. I poked around on the net, mostly to no avail.

Why? My bike's engine is displeased (worn piston rings) and requires significantly more frequent oil changes, so I'd like to be able to buy a regular goat load, if you catch my meaning.

Yes. As Sean said... and if I remember correctly, the motor oil that is used for motorcycle is also shared with the tranny. Right?

I was under the impression that common motor oil was not to be used because of friction modifiers that are good for cars, but bad for the wet clutch and tranny on the bike. The other issue is that car oil breaks down more quickly in the high-rpm engine and the transmission. I've been using 15w-40, which lacks the friction modifiers, and I've been changing it very frequently to avoid break-down of the oil. I've done a fair amount of research on the subject, and I'm pretty confident that the bike is alright with it. It's a bit of a financial drain to be blowing all that money on oil though, I may be better off just getting a different engine. Ah, well. Thanks for the help guys!
