i have an 8-day-old wgn. i almost opted for the factory alarm, but i wanted one w/ a couple more features. i am highly considering the viper550esp http://www.directed.com/security/vip..._rs.asp#550esp
directed.com has a retailer locator, but i was wondering if anyone out there has any shop recommendations, experiences, or even suggestions for a diff. system. any & all helpful input is welcome.

i'd really appreciate some of your valuable input on this...cuz other than the little info that i've been able to come across thru my limited research abilities, i'm pretty clueless on what to get.
thanks
thanks
I have a tazer II which has since been discontinued i think, but i dunno about the cliffords' remote range, i have a hard time getting it to work at 10+ ft even with fresh batteries in the remote. Other than that imo it works fine as an alarm with the door open alert and the extra beeps when the alarm has gone off previously and what not.
As for installation, won't a local good guys or circuit city be able to do it? I don't know of any shops cuz for all of my family's cars we used tazer II and the same guy at good guys

I'm not trying to take away from pdqwrx, but my husband works at the best buy in fairfield (car audio/alarms installation) . He's a great installer and I know he would help you guys out. We're gonna be hooking up a remote-start on our wagon. It's too cold to have to go outside and warm the car up.
