Where to drive around Pleasanton?

Just wondering if anybody knows some nice backroads in/around Pleasanton. Gonna try out an EVO in the area this weekend (not gonna buy, just comparing ) and it'd be nice to take it on some twisties

You could take hwy. 84 over pidgeon pass, its kinda dangerous, but on a weekend you should be okay. there are a ton of backroads in livermore around the wineries. I dont really know those though. If you pick me up and let me drive a little I could show you better

Get off at Palomeres (sp?) on 580, go left under the over pass, and straight at the intersection. Take the only left after the intersection, its kind of hard to spot. Then after Palomeres you can go right and go to mission, or go left to a long fun road that dumps you in san jose eventually. Just keep going straight after the left, you'll go past a garden type thing, then it gets interesting. Its about 15 miles of a twisty one lane road. At the end of that road, you can go right till you hit san jose (keep going straight till you hit the freeway), or go left for the empty hills. Bring a map tho, you'll get lost

Hey, thanks everyone! Getting lost might actually be pretty fun, unless of course we end up 20-30 miles away from the nearest gas station, which I understand is the effective range on the Evo's thimble-sized gas tank

Tassajara is a fun road to take turns quicker than posted. If you take any of the turns on tassajara you have some open driving. . . . If they re-open the old side of Doughrty thats a good one, and also the way end of Crow Canyon Road, you will have around 8 - 10 miles of good back country roads. Good Luck
