Wells is a ripoff and I had a bad experience with them that showed me how much they suck. Fresh from college, searching for a job. Sold my motorcycle to be able to live for two months as I interview. Go to Wells to deposit and don't want to wait in line, so I deposit $2k in cash in ATM. Few days later my balance shows that the deposit hasn't gone through and they tell me that my deposit envelope had no cash in it. I demand investigation and they say ok. Over the next two weeks as they investigate, I'm offered no updates at all, despite repeated requests. Finally they give me my money back, but they refuse to explain what happened. I pulled my money out the next day, went to Wamu and I've been happy ever since. Big middle finger to Wells...but I'm not bitter

it's true, I don't trust banks for ****...I mean, look at how much money they have...and if they really wanted to, they could lose some of your money...

depends on what your final balance was, if it was $5.78 then they probably thought damn this guy needs a job. If it was $4,758.84 then they would've thought...damn, this guy sure knows how to save.
Bank of the West (great services but not too many locations)
Bank of America (I hate it, left them. But they recently purchased MBNA, my CC, so I am back.
)
Wells Fargo (great services and many locations)
Valley Credit Union (great loan rates but not too many locations)
