That hurts. I'm all about high specific power output, but it's a no-brainer that the same technology on a larger motor is going to make more power. Also, who cares about revving to 8500, it's area under the curve I care about, and you get more of that with a nice, torquey motor.
Hell, just look at what an XT can do to a stock WRX, even though it's a decent amount heavier.
