Where to check torque wrench?

Where do you usually check your torque wrenches? I bought mine in Lowe's in 2009. Went there with a question but been told that they are not doing that. Although it supposedly has Lowe's lifetime warranty.

Thanks!

Calibrations do not fall under lifetime warranty. The warranty is in case it fails in some fashion, calibrations are considered a normal part of owning a precision instrument and do not count as a manufacturer defect.

You could try a ball park, but chances are you'd have better luck with someone that actually works for a tool company instead of a baseball team helping to make sure you have proper Torque Settings.

I did a simple cal of mine by mounting the square drive in a bench vise and hanging a weight off the handle. Measure the distance of the weight from the drive and multiply by the weight, and that is the torque applied. You could get fancy and measure a bunch of different weights to do a multi point cal.
