Where can I get uncirculated currency?

Here is a long shot, anyone know where I can her $400,000 in uncirculated one dollar bills?

I have tried Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Borell, and a few other banks. They all tell me that they can not order new bills except for at x-mass time.

The US Mint only deals with coins.

Eh on their website yes. But you have to do some work. Like my friends dad got a few bags of uncirculated pennies from a batch that had a few that were double stamped. They dont list stuff like that or the bills on their site but they have it. You have to know who to contact.

I do not know who though

I tried the Mint and they say "we only deal with coins"

I think I am going to try the Bureau of Engraving and Printing.

Betting a local Credit Union could get you the physical currency (any bank can, they just have to give a damn enough to order it)

Expect to have to jump through some hoops if you want to widthdraw more than $10,000 in cash. There are a bunch of money laundering laws that come into effect. It's actually a federal offense to mail that much cash over state lines.

I read about an investment banker in Texas who bought $20-million in Nickels as a hedge against financial collapse.
There is $0.065 in metal in a Nickel.
