I'm looking for a commuter bike. Something under 150, that is 52-53 cm. Anyone know a good salvage yard that sells old schwinns maybe? Bianchi would be nice too. Thanks BAIC.

 

Checkout Craigslist. Tons of bikes on there.

 

Yeah, craigslist is the way to go, but for 150 you'll probably get a 70-80's low end/mid end bike. They are still sturdy if it's in good condition and can last you a while.

 

Yea, i've check craigslist a lot. Not that many in my size tho. So i guess i'm just trying to see if there are any road bikers on here that know a good cycle salvage yard that sells old schwinns or bianchis.

I'm not looking for something fancy, just a 10 speed steel bike. I'll step up to aluminum after i get some seat time.

 

I bought an all aluminum one at Target for like $180. Prelude was the model.

 

saw some @ costco yesterday. for like 4 bills.
