Cutting is an interesting idea.... but with rolling dont you end up with a more forgiving edge? Not to mention, better stability with the edge of the fender? Seems to me that a very properly rolled fender would have the least problems with strength, rust and a softer edge. *shrug*

I am thinking about the paint - if you roll it you will have a broken edge of paint - how do you keep that mess from rusting or gathering moisture.
I am thinking that if you cut it just before the bend that you have an edge that can be painted and covered woth the rubber strip that goes on the inside of the fender....maybe not, I wish I had gone to UCKK last night and looked at Alex;s car.

Rolling, when done w/ a heat gun and a rolling machine will not have paint cracks. Of all methods, if you're willing to pay, I'd recommend having them professionally rolled. Just start calling up body shops and asking and be sure to inquire about the process. If they don't have a rolling machine and use heat guns, I wouldn't have them do it... because you might as well then do it yourself
