Where can I get a box of a specific size?
I need a box to ship my header + some other parts to jet-hot. It needs to be 28x28x12 or slightly larger.
I tried MBE / The UPS store, and the best they could do is 36x36x36, which is so big I could ship MYSELF in the box.
At FedEx.com the estimated cost for a 28x28x12 box is around $25 a 30x30x12 box is close to $35 and 36x36x12 exceeds acceptable size limit. As such I want to keep the size of the box as close to the needed dimensions of 28x28x12 as possible.
Any suggestions of where I could go? Or does anyone have a box the right size?

I'm not sure that USPS has a box that large, but I guess it's worth a try to ask.
Maybe you could get a large box from a supermarket or Wal-Mart and then use a straight edge to score and cut the box to your exact needs. Just be sure to use a strong 3M packing tape or filament parcel tape to hold the thing together. Small flaps could also be taped from the inside as insurance against the box coming apart. A lot of work but basically free except for the tape.
