Today is my first day back to work since Dec. 23, but didn't hear any rumors of this happening at all. One of my co-workers told me this morning.

p.s. I work for Clear Channel

it was a business decision.

people saying they want the station back isn't gonna bring it back, unless there is something in it for the people who shut it down.

it obviously wasn't profitable enough to keep going, maybe La Romantica will be profitable for them

I thought my friends had played a joke on me by messing with my radio, but then I noticed that it was 104.9 that was playing Mexican music

Last time I drove through Sacramento 98.5 was playing some good music Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath. Too bad I can't get it down here in San Jose

the blank club's not closing...... they'll just pick up shows from 105.3 or do more of their own. Larry's not stupid. I didn't know you went down that way....call me or drop me a line next time I'd like to tag along. Generally speaking I don't pay to get in there.

As for this 104.9 stuff...booooo. That was one of the last cool stations around. I don't get it. Are the mexicans really willing to pay that much money????? I mean they already dominate the radio number wise with stations and they have some of the strongest signals. Now they're taking over flagship stations...come on.

Clear channel sucks my ball.

What do you mean you can't get it down in SJ? I listen to that every morning and afternoon during my commute in Santa Clara/San Jose.

ATTENTION ALL YALL ******!! EITHER SUCK IT UP AND PAY THE $10/mo FOR SATELLITE OR LISTEN TO CRAPPY COMMERCIAL RADIO STATIONS AND LIKE IT!!!

As more and more of the listening public switch over to satellite, statios will be competing harder for the largest groups that still listen to the radio, pre-teens and Hispanics, so get used to it or get satellite. Once you do you'll wonder how you ever listened to the crap on the radio

Correct me if I'm wrong, when I was growing up in Santa Clara, 104.9 was a spanish station.

104.5 Kfog
104.9 some spanish station
105.3 KITS (live 105)

Am I wrong?
