Not illegal...well that rules out smoking pot, drinking (for you), and driving how it's fun to drive...
There are a ton of cool concert venues around, small ones and big ones. Get a schedule and get into live shows...
And don't forget the Bay Area sports...tickets to Warriors games are cheap.
