Its a nice place, I've been there before, and housing prices are amazing. But whats the catch? Yes its a bit out of the way, but what else? I am seriously considering buying a home out there but...I don't know enough to really get into it just yet. Is there much crime out there? I do know theres a decent amount of section 8....

sr20steve lives in discovery bay, but he just moved there from antioch...

 

it's a long drive... plus you have to deal with vasco road...

from fremont to brentwood is around 50 miles.

 

Whats wrong with vasco road? I've heard of it many times...does it always get clogged up or something? I don't drive to work till 9-9:30 ish anyhow, and I'd take 680 to the walnut creek san ramon part of the east bay. How do you guys who live out there like it? feedbackkkk

LOL hot wind???......aaa no man. Its near the delta...I live in Oakley and I'm right across the street from it. Oakley/brentwood always has a nice COOL breeze

 

alright. I live in oakley. Its a real good place to live. Housing is cheap because this is still a young town, soon they will be super expensive so if your thinking of buying a house do it now!Houses are really nice! There's NO crime out here. LOL the cops have nothing to do here so they will either go to antioch or just camp out and wait to give speeding tickets(dont speed in this town!). Everything here is brand new and the town is growing super fast. I work in Walnut Creek and only takes me 15 min to get there. If u do come out her then we should meet up with the subies down here.

 

hey i live in brentwood and its totally chill. I work in Walnut Creek and it isn't all that bad of a drive at all. I live about 2 minutes away from Marsh Creek and the same distance away from Vasco too. The nice thing about it is that i don't have to drive into Walnut Creek unless i have to go to work. Most anything I need i am able to pick up in my direction. Anyways i vote for another subie owner in Brentwood. Happy house hunting

 

There's always CHP/Sheriff on Vasco pulling ppl over for speeding & whatnot. Same with the new highway 4 bypass. Otherwise Brentwood is fine, I'm goin out there for a friends surprise bday party on Fri night.

 

brentwood is okay, i have family all over that area oakley, antioch, disco bay.. vasco can be fun late night minus the cops

 

i haven't come across any cops on the new highway 4 bypass...

 

cops are everywhere trying to pull people over for speeding, not just the bypass and Vasco. I see them all over the place, and thats why you don't speed. Granted cops in Brentwood aren't always the nicest, but for the most part if you leave them alone, they will leave you alone.
