Question What's the market value of '98 RS Rims?

No one seems to visit the Tires & Wheels forum so I'm posting here. I need some advise so I can get back to the seller tomorrow.

This is for a set of '98 sliver 5-spoke RS wheels with four pretty new Michelin all weather tires. Overall condition is good. How much will a set like this cost? How much without the tires? Why are these RS wheels a lot more expensive than the WRX wheels?

Is $500 pretty reasonable for the wheels and tires? Thanks a lot.

If they're silver, they're from a 99, the 98 wheels were gold

I bought a set of almost new WRX wheels/RE92's off Ebay for about $420 shipped. Really, it comes down to supply and demand. If you look around, you will find tons of people trying to get rid of WRX wheels and RE92s. So, considering the tires you're talking about are probably better than the RE92's (maybe not- I dont really know) and the wheels are more rare and desirable (IMO), $500 is reasonable.

Condition can override these factors though, you make the call...

Thanks guys. For sure I'll negotiate more that's why I'm trying to find out the fair market value. Man, these rims are rare to find, I have been looking for them for a while and not too much luck. I do see a tons of WRX wheels and tires for sale for cheaper price.

BTW, $500 is for wheels and tires only, not including shipping.

More comments are appreciated..

If you have an STi, they won't fit.

$400 is probably the going rate nowadays.

$500 for that is actually reasonable, since there are new tires on them.

Thanks Gagan. This is not for my STi, it's for my other daily commute car, a '96 Impreza.

To answer your question, they are hard to find compared to WRX wheels because the RS was produced in significantly lower numbers.
