Thumbs down What's with the Kraut-ricer flyby?

Those VW guys are pushy!

TWICE today! And twice last week by one of those ugly purple special edition 1.8T's. I think it was the same guy too.

First time was harrassed by a stock looking GTI 1.8T on the highway, he flies past and then drops back trying to goad me into something. Whatever dude.

Second time was on El Camino in sunnyvale. Actually really nicely fixed up PASSAT V6 revs on me at a light...now I have my 9 months pregnant wife with me, so I'm not about to do anything. So he pulls out fast and lets me catch up to him, then I think he friggin hit the nitrous!!! Not that he was fast...his car just made a horribly loud revving noise, a huge cloud of black smoke shot out of his exhaust, and he accelerated slightly faster than previously. Pretty funny.

ps. "Kraut" is meant in the most german friendly way possible. My wife is german, and yes, they do eat a lot of kraut.

Seems as though VW owners have a long history of Subaru hating:

I think it all good, we just drive slowly right next to them ... smile at them ... save our gas ( since it like $2.00 @ shell anyway), let them fly and act like a fool without anyone but the cops running after them ....

No need to hate them back ... since traffic school will call their attendant ( if that is their 1st tickect .. haha )

They're just pissed that the Skoda (VW brand) team got their ***** handed to them by Subaru in last years WRC.

The only VW that I give props too are my two friends'. One is a built 1.8T beetle with over 350whp and the other is a '96 fully built VR6 that is hitting over 625whp...
