what's the deal with these ipods?

my gf bought me the mini 2 septembers ago... the battery dies after a couple minutes even after it's been on the charger for a day straight!

I bought my gf the nano a couple months ago and now hers wont turn on. she already brought it to the "genius" bar and they supposedly fixed it but now it wont turn on again.

wtf ?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what am I going to do about mine.......... I guess i can try the genius bar again.

for the nano, try holding the middle button + the play button together until the apple logo comes on.

as for your mini, if it's been 2 years, it might be time to replace the battery.

the nano batteries just like some of the other ipod batteries have had problems. Contact apple they might hook it up relatively cheap because the nano in particular had issues.

My ipod is fine. Thinking about getting another.

Mine has the same problem...when im listening it has half a bar left then all of a sudden the bar goes empty and it turns off. They only have a limited life span and replacement batteries are really expensive ive heard.

ill prolly just upgrade to a new one...

Did you guys follow the initial charge instructions? You have to drain the battery as much as possible and then do a complete charge without unplugging. My nano hasn't had any issues with battery life in the past 6 months.

Check apples website

There was a class action suit against them regarding the battery life. They lost, so you may be entitled to a free replacement (referring to the mini)

For the nano, it should still be under the original warranty, take it back to be fixed/replaced

I discovered that the nano is not suitable for swimming.

I left it in my shirt and washed it. It died. Good thing I had the replacement plan from Best Buy.

The plans are cheaper than the batteries BTW.
