Nice! I was in Game Art for a few years then changed to Media Arts...since its a wider range of art, and i can always do game stuff if someone wanted me to.

Any mainstream games or private party stuff?

Still in school. Went from Business Management to Electrical Engineering and now to Computer Science.

Business was interesting but I just felt like I had more potential. So I went to EE and that was just painful. I had about another year and a half left and switched out after talking to people at my company. The ones that I could relate to said if they had to do it all over, they would have switched to something more exciting.

Currently working at my CS degree and getting into the linux side of IT. I feel like I'm pretty set working at my current internship at ARM.

Majored in Immunology, now I'm a dentist. If i could go back, I would probably have majored in Econ or Business Admin and just taken the pre-dental prerequisites, or just have taken some business/accounting classes.

If I had to go a completely different route, I would probably want to go mech or industrial engineering and then an MBA later.

For me I went from a Earth Systems major, to an Environmental Engineering major, to getting a degree in Fire Technology. I now get my kicks riding around on a big red engine

What was your Major in College, and what are you doing today? Would you have done something different now that you have a better understanding of the world? What would that be?

Major: Computer Information Systems (CIS) emphasis in Networking and Telecom, BS in Bus Admin
Certs: CCNA
Today: Working for an IT Consulting Firm for Ortho/Dentist practices being a Tech basically...Onsite Installations, Phone Monkey, Server Config, Network Designs, Remote Support etc...

Having a better understanding: I would have been an Orthodontist, they make bank, have the best schedules, and are surrounded by women aka dental assistants. Almost everyone in my company would agreee. But I am planning for my GMAT pretty soon here...school is much better than working.

IIRC my friends sister makes a few hundred a day being a dental assistant/hygienist... a few years at Foothill and she's set now!

B.S. Justice Studies (a.k.a. Criminal Justice) SJSU

Um, I would have gotten into my degree earlier. I went from CS --> Math (2 semesters left) ---> Justice Studies

Justice Studies was a walk in the park for me, whereas I had to work 5 times as hard in the other two majors.

Right now, I work under cover security and will be interviewing for two investigations in jobs within my company in two weeks.

BA in journalism, emphasis in PR, minor in health science from Chico State.

Jumped into a top boutique PR firm in SF after college, absolutly HATED that industry, jumped into an entry-level IT job for Genentech.

Now, I'm out of IT and doing a project coordinator job for corporate training and development at Genentech. My undergrad had little to do with where I'm at now, other than it gave me the ability to talk to people and write at a decent level.

I started off as a Mechanical Engineerring Major at the California Maritime Academy. I realized after being on a ship for two months and turning wrenches in the hot engine room that it wasn't for me. I switched majors and graduated with a B.S. in Busines Administration with an emphasis in International Business and Logistics. I currently work for a shipping company at the port of Oakland as an M&R Supervisor. I enjoy my job.
I am currently taking a fire science class and EMT course as I am interated in joining the fire department. I am not sure if I would of done anything differently because I really enjoyed my experiences sailing around the world. I sometimes wonder if I would of stuck with engineering if I had attended a different school, but I am happy with where I am at and I am young enough to change things up.
