i majored in computer engineering and working as a computer engineer + running my own business, Detail Addict. Not sure if I would change my major, but would have taken some business/accounting classes also. That way, I think I might have considered business earlier on. Now that I am steady at my job (i guess that's bs, there is no stability in tech industry... ), and the business is growing, it's hard to make a switch. If i started earlier, i might have been able to give up my day job with my starting pay...

oh well... there is always should have could have would have...

BS in Forestry with an emphasis in Wildland Hydrology and Watershed Management from Humboldt State University. I'm now working as a Hydrographer for a small private company setting up and measuring stream gaging and weather stations throughout California.

I guess it would have been nice to know what I wanted to do a lot earlier than I did just so I would have had some opportunity to make contacts and maybe volunteer or work seasonal positions during the early years of college.

MS - Aero/Astro Engineering from the Farm

And yes.. I do get put with engineers that graduated from Long Beach State. But who the hell cares? As long as you can learn something from your comrades, work with them, and do your job, that is all that matters.

My cousin in law is doing Forestry in SLO. I think thats awesome. Cruising the fireroads in your truck is the coolest office you could have IMO

But i went with Media Arts, now i'm leaning towards video/photo in the unlikely chance i could land job related to that. Otherwise I will pursue 3D lighting, creative writing, story boarding (another big if) etc. whatever i can get.

BA in Economics, and I am about 4 credit hours short of a second BA in Poli Sci, I dont think I will be going back to get it though, it just isnt worth it. Thinking about getting a CPA or a CFA though.

Double major in accounting and finance. I started in public accounting out of college, but switch over to turnaround consulting. Kicking around ideas of going to law school or switching to teaching at some point.

I figured business admin would be a great curriculum because it applies to just about any job. If figure it would always come in handy no matter which job field I went to.

You don't like accounting or finance? Right now I'm a business major at Cal Poly looking to make my concentration either accounting or finance, but leaning towards accounting (get my cpa and whatnot)

Major; EE
Minors, Music, Computer Science, Mathematics, Philosophy.

My adviser told me I was committing academic suicide.

and no, I didn't graduate- completed all the minor requirements except for the CS and felt I'd had enough after 4 years.

Someday I keep telling myself I'll finish it up, maybe even go for an MBA, but 23 years have gone by and I'm having too much fun working to think about going back to school.

What am I doing now? Designing speakers for folks like Metallica, and other crazy audio R&D stuff, also working and organizing Rallys.

Like I said- having too much fun.
