I thought pistol grips were the enemy of accuracy when it comes to shotguns (school me, I'm a noob)?

They are, which is why I have a laser... like I described earlier. That is one of my 3 shotguns, the other two are the more serious tactical shottys... That one is just a hallway sweeper, but its accurate since its laser guided. Its much easier to conceal under a trench coat too.

So what do you keep locked and loaded by your bed for when your front door gets kicked in by meth-heads?

Going to a safe takes too much time.

A very modified Glock 21 with very serious .45 hollow points, and a shotgun with 9+1 capcity ready to go. I use the pistol as a backup for the shotgun. The rest of my stuff is locked up while I sleep.

Yeah I think mine is 8 plus 1. It looks just like yours but its a remi and it's got the pistol grip on the pump too. And no huge knife to poke my eye out with.

Not really an accurate gun but for home protection usually the click of the pump is enough for people to go... wrong house. And if it's not just get close. I have alternate load. Buck. Slug if I want it on a belt and a box of buck with the gun.

Not a big fan of pistols for home protection unless with hollows I suppose because they can rip right through walls and door and kill loved ones. Much less likely with a shotgun. But I'd love a nice glock or a 1911.

Well crap, I guess that means I'll have to find another unpaved road to explore over the holidays. I only found that road after quite a bit of searching on these and other Subaru forums, too.
