What turbo to hold boost to redline?

Im looking for a turbo that will REALLY come alive at ~ 4000 rpms. vf22, PE 1818, 1820...20g....fp green? Something that will hold 18-20lbs of boost from 4K all the way to redline. 4500rpms for full boost is too long for me.

I already have: TurboXS turboback w/higflow cat, catless uppipe, ic hoses and ecutek.

If I did this, I was thinking of adding a TXS TMIC, 650 inj, fuel pump and custom tune. I dont really want to deal with a FMIC -- the cost, bumper beam and attention factor are big downsides.

Im looking for a setup that would feel like a n/a car for putting around town...then at around 4000K rpms boost comes on like an on/off switch if I feel like getting crazy.

vf22 seems to be most appealing due to the low price tag.

What do you guys think? Is this realistic on 91 octane?

Matt

On a 2.0 a 18G or 20G would be nice.

If you're looking for best bang for the buck vf22 may be your best bet. Some may argue otherwise, but given the gas quality in CA you may not realize the full potential of the other turbos with the mods already on your car. Plus, a well tuned vf22 should get you the results you're looking for.

vf30 + meth. Or 96 octane tune.
you will be able to scratch 400hp w/ still running cheaper STI injectors, from running leaner.

I'm biased b/c I like torque, but I really can barely tolerate a vf30 already, I drove an EVO w/ a GT3071R and I didn't really like it despite the awesome power.

I dont think I would be happy with the 18g, the vf22 is much cheaper and the performance on 91 octane would be very similiar.

What kind of injectors for the vf22? I was looking at the helix 660's

Also, when would an FP Green or 20g spool up on a 2.0L?

My thinking here is that a vf22 would be cheaper for now, but a bigger turbo like the green would be good for a future 2.5L

Any more thoughts?

you re not gonna want a 20 g the 2.l0 has probles pushing such a big turbo go with the 18g and a new fmic you should be holding boost just fine!

^^^^ nah, I dont want a front mount, and I dont think the 18g is the best choice, I would rather go bigger(for the price its not much of a difference), and if I ever put in a 2.5L shortblock I would need bigger than that.

Is 4300 the approximate rpm for a green to hit good boost on the 2.0L? WIth TMIC?
