During the winder I norm turn out heater off at night and just sleep under some nice big comfy blankets.

I thought this was for the Subies. O well in the car I only turn it on so the ac recirculates or if I have girls in the car because they ask for it. I am more of a roll down your window for cooler air kinda guy. As for the house only when it's hot enough

same here, plus car doesn't pull when AC is on

I have never been to a house in SF that had AC.

In LA, though, I always turn my parent;s AC to 62 or something, so I can fell more at home.

We have a cabin in Truckee with no AC or central heating. So in the winter when we are not there we have to drain all the water from the pipe and turn the water main off.

Well when we decide to go up for a few weeks during the winter, its normally colder insde the house that outside. Then it takes a good half day with the wood stove and electric wall heaters to heat the place up (its 3 stories).

But during the winter its a good 4-15* in the backyard
