What should I bring back from and where to go in Japan?

Hey all, I am gonna be in Japan, in Jan. for about a week, and I want go on a mini shopping spree, although I don't have too much money, but I'd love to spend a little on some jdm stuff, if they're much cheaper, recommendations where to go? what to bring back?

So any recommendations on where a tourist might go? Any good travel books? Lets Go or Lonely planet type of book?

Crap, you serious? my flight is scheduled to fly in on the 17th, and then staying until the 24th...I have to see about if I can go earlier...I'm going to china first, and then I'm allowed one stop on the roundtrip, and using that one freebie at the transfer at tokyo, so two for one. Not ticketed yet, but I have to see if I can get to Japan earlier, if the schedule allows. Otherwise I am flying into Japan, and then ride trains around to places I guess...unless there are better ways...wow if I could I would bring 10 of each back...
