What? No V? **** off.

Alright, compared to most of you boxer-files I am a noob. I picked up my STI exactly one year ago and haven't looked back. Another thing I picked up a year ago was a community of the coolest knuckleheads out there. Nowhere else will you find perfect strangers waving at each other, honking, drafting in traffic, creating impromptu convoys, or just BSing in a parking lot for half an hour about how badass wagons are.
I picked up on it right away when suddenly kids in bugeyes were flashing the V at me and guys in heavily modded 04' STI's would draft me in traffic and we'd help each other fend off idiots.

I DO NOT GET GUYS THAT ARE TOO COOL FOR THIS COMMUNITY. TAKE YOUR ATTITUDE AND STICK IT.

BTW my arm is still tired from barging the hill late to Hammy and trying to wave to everyone leaving...lol

Coincidently, that's the same sign for "Hook 'em Horns" @ the University of Texas.

When I rode a bike, I was holding on for dear-life...(not very experienced...)

But, my old VW Rabbit/GTI/Scirrocco/Jetta crowd used to do it back in the day. It just wasn't as huge as the Suby community. There were hella' more attitudes back then too.

No way man. I love me some USC. Since I was born pretty much. I almost went there. Had a sit down with a couple of their baseball coaches when I was in junior high. Talk about unethical..haaa.

USC and the RAIDERS.....find the connection that hooked me on both.

You know its soo funny because the reason I loved (I shouldn't say that, love) the SR20 community was the same reason. If you ever saw someone in another SR20 powered car you always got a wave. It seems that the subaru folks are real cool in the same way. I never see any crazy ricer, rev on you when they drive by, type of folks.

Its a good day to be a sooby guy

I stopped caring. If I don't get a wave back, oh well. I'm not going to get butt hurt about it. That's just how it is. Not everyone with a Subaru is going to be friendly. There's more and more drivers each day. Not everyone is an enthusiast, let alone someone who gives a damn about being a part of a community. That doesn't mean I won't ever nod or wave, I just don't expect anything anymore.

If they didn't rev at you when they drove by, how did you know they had an SR20 under the hood.

Not to worry. I hate UT. I just got back from visiting family in Austin and they had won at home that Saturday so I never heard the end of it till I left.

See you bring up a little know fact about the SR20 community and I would be glad to educate you. Everyone thinks that anything to do with the SR20DE or SR20DET is the RWD 240sx S chassis crowd. But few know that the SR20 came from the factory in cars in the states in FWD form (the sentra SE-R [91-94], the 200sx SE-R [95-98], the NX2000 91-93 [also a B13 chassis just like the sentra SE-R], the Sentra SE limited [97-99], the b15 sentra SE [00-01], and last but not least the 91-02 Infinity G20). Same motor in sooo many ways as the rwd SR20 it just never came with a turbocharger in the US. We are a pretty tight knit community. Go to sr20forum.com if you want to check it out, I have been on there since 2002 under the same s/n (1000+ poster, lol). There is a whole lot of really knowlegable people over there about turbo vehicles and the sort, and allot of sooby fans for that matter. I posted pics of my new sti and got allot of thunbs up from everyone.

Oh, I'm a previous Nissan head myself. I just assumed you were talking about the coveted -DET engines.

Even still, I rarely see any factory SR20 powered Nissan/G20s. I'd love to get my hands on B13 SE-R and finnish what Nissan started Ones of the few FWD cars I've ever wanted.
