Wow, I logged in after forever expecting to find a vibrant community of Subaru enthusiasts. I feel like I just walked into an abandoned building with chairs strewn all over the place and empty filing cabinets with their drawers all opened up. As I walk through the darkened hallway I spot a dim light at the end of a dark corridor and find a small room lit only with a single, flickering light bulb. Inside are a few of the old schoolers reminiscing on the good ole days.
It's great to see some of the OG's still popping in here, but hot damn this is a sad state of affairs for the community at large. I was thinking about posting my beloved 2003 PSM bugeye sedan for sale, hoping to find her a good home where she'd be loved by someone as much as I love her, but alas, it doesn't look like that's going to happen and I hate the idea of a dealership getting their grubby hands on her. Any ideas?

It has been forever. I dig the scene you described that this place and most other forums have become. But it is sad.

Good luck with the sale. I still have my 'cousin' wagon to your sedan.

Couldn't get into the wagon, thought battery was dead. Bought cables and went to jump it, it started up fine... Found that the FOB would not lock/unlock, so I re-paired it to the car, still no deal. Had to buy a new FOB and now it works. Cars, always something, and now I have a brand new set of jumper cables that I don't really need lol. At the auto parts place, there were like 8 batteries on the counter, I guess people are going out to find their batteries dead now that things are starting to open up and people are on the road again.
I sold my cars and moved to Sweden. Have not owned a car for three years, but just bought a BRZ (this is what happens when you let your 7yr old choose your car and you can't afford a Lamborghini). First time not owning a car since 1997. I have been borrowing a 2010 Legacy Boxer Diesel 6spd wagon here and there, which has been a surprisingly fun car, though the clutch is strange. It's a beast on dirt roads w/ snow tires.
So far the BRZ is a blast, but traffic over here is a bastard, and drivers are disappointing. I tend to go out after 10PM for any drives which is not a huge deal since the sun doesn't set until almost 11 this time of year. I planned on just keeping the BRZ for the summer but not sure what I will do with it. So far I have not hit 4x deer. Looking to keep a streak going there.
Had planned to do some road trips this summer. Wanted to drive down to Germany but no one is allowing anyone from Sweden in their countries because of how badly the COVID-19 situation was handled. Darn it.. Probably take some trips up north and see what's what.

And currently drive neither since WFH.
