What to do in New York?

So I'm going to New York in about 2 weeks and I'm guessing it would probably freezing cold there... haha so is there anything fun to do there? any certain places that are a must visit? any good clubs? bars? restaurants? any places to stay away from?
thanks! I really appreciate it.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

If you got money to spend go check out Peter lugars for some good steak, and real NY attitude, It's out in brooklyn. You might try and get reservations now cause it can be difficult to get in there.

Out in "soho" theres a cool bar caled 1849, they havea really good happy hour. cheap wings and beer!

Also check out the shake shack for some tasty burgers, and there beer is actually really good too.

I just went in November. I stayed in Brooklyn and rode the subway to Manhattan everyday. If you plan on doing tourist stuff, like empire state/statue of liberty look into newyorkpass.com. I bought one when I went and used it way more then it cost me.

Find a crosswalk with any random African American, and when the light turns green honk at him - guaranteed of at least 5 minutes of entertainment right there.
