Parked it because it is making an odd squealing noise coming from the alternator area. Hope it is not timing belt related. Going to put a stethoscope on stuff later today and see if I can narrow it down.

Any chance it's the alternator pulley bearing?

I hope it is something simple like that. It started happening last night after darts so I just limped home and parked it. Gotta look into it some more tonight after work. It really sounded to be coming from the alternator. Not a belt slipping squeal but a bearing type squeal with a grindy undertone lol

Hopefully that's it then. Is the belt over tensioned?

Remove belt by belt to narrow it down, if the stethoscope doesnt help. If its still there after all belts are off, suspect something in the timing belt area.

That was the plan if the stethoscope did not get it on the first couple tries.
Thanks for sage advice.

Reason i ask is because i hardwired directly to the Fuse box.
Haha - done light - I was like huh? Anyway, no. I used the power feed for the option auto-dimming mirror/compass which I did not have in my car. My '02 also doesn't have it, but in the '03 there was a plug just sitting there with switched 12v power. I grounded it inside the map light box. The only thing to do with the map lights is that you remove them to get access to all of this. Nothing at all to do with the dome light in the middle of the ceiling.

You can wire directly to the fuse box, and that's a fine way to go - but why bother when there is factory 12v power less than 6 inches from the rearview mirror?

Oh yeah, had my windows tinted today. Hope I don't get pulled over!! Haha...

Yup. I feel like these wheels give the car a real rally look with the beefy tires. I like them a lot actually but i'm still debating if i want 18's. Need to buy lugs asap so i can run them lol. In the photo i'm borrowing his lugs LOL.
