Just swapped out the perrin downpipe with the totally pimptastic ceramic coated grimmspeed limited catted downpipe.
Fit is P E R F E C T.
This is my 4th and final dow pipe.
Well worth the coinage dropped.
Amazing fit, amazing quality and last but certainly not least, amazing customer service!

The sharp bend In the pipe right before the middle hanger on the gs is what the perrin lacks in fitment. Since my car is the 4eat the trans pan interferes with most aftermarket downpipes.
You can see on the pan where it was touching on the corner. Actually causing fluid loss in the trans either due to heat or vibration. The gs clears with plenty of room to spare.

Also accomidated all of this with new grimmspeed extra thick gaskets and re did the whole catback.

Is it my eyes or is the grimspeed hole diameter smaller than the perrin at the flange and then it flares out? I wonder why they did that, the DP looks just like the crucial racing one now same exact design except for the machining of the flange for the wastegate.

Naw it's my dad's 09 tribecca. He drives a lot for work I guess at oil changers(I tell him not to go there) they have been shorting him a quart of oil. He thought it was burning oil but compression tested fine? And since I've been changing it it's not low at all... Curious

Nope yer eyes are correct. Its smaller. And something weird is it bottle necks below 3" at the turbo flange. To accomodate that small hole. Idk what thats for but ill send gs an email to ask. Also im still getting a turbo whistling noise which leads me to believe either my turbo inlet and/or y pipe is torn and needs to be replaced.

Yup, it's smaller and then opens. Same as my Crucial.

Looks nearly identical to Crucial/Stromung/MadDad.

Sure it's not spool up? I know on my Crucial you can really hear the turbo spool up.

As long as you put on fresh gaskets, and are re torquing the bolts after a few heat cycles it should be okay and not leaking.

Well it started out of the blue after I installed a remflex gasket at the dp/turbo flange. I removed said gasket and replaced with oem....which then cracked. And now I have gs thick gaskets so I know it shouldnt be leaking anymore....it is the spooling sound yes but it just sounds louder than normal.....and sometimes sounds really weird and high pitched. Its a catted dp as well.

I need to clean out a bunch of stuff anyways.

Pcv valve
Throttle body
Maf
Turbo banjo bolt screens & Avcs screens
(Just incase its the turbo slowly getting a lack of oil)

Anything else I should be cleaning out?
Seafoam the intake at the bpv hose?

Oh yea duh. Totally spaced out that the deposits would be passing thru the turbo lol. Ive heard of one guy in a mazda blowing his turbo doing the whole bottle.
Now how about some advice on what TO do. Cause theres plenty of what NOT to do advice going round lol.

Perfectly safe when it's to clear the combustion chamber.

Though, not sure why it's unsafe for the turbo when you add it to oil?

I've seafoam end my car twice through the bpv hose and never had a problem.

Would never put it in the oil though
