Just replaced both headlights on the stanza yesterday with a clean set off a junker in pick n pull haha. Nice to not be driving around with busted/cracked headlights anymore.
Got finished with my switchblade remote mod for my 2012 WRX. Got frustrated with the programming so I took it to Stevens Creek and $69.99 labor later , synced with the car. No more carrying the teardrop remote and the key.
Let's see....
$60 to send my spare key in plus cost of the shell and labor
$35 to laser cut the blade by a local keysmith ( No dealership in the Bay Area Subaru has this service , I called )
$70 for the Legacy remote key
$70 for dealership to program

As long as the keysmith has the laser cut machine , I went to Schwenk Lock & Safe Co - Santa Clara, CA , recommended by one of the Stevens Creek Subaru employee and it's also right behind the dealership. The machine didn't quite cut right the first time so I went back and had the guy re-cut it and it worked. He was fussy about it when I tried to show him why it didn't work ...
I also used the spare instead of the valet key as it doesn't lock the glove compartment. Good luck.

I might go the route to program a switchblade to my car.. kinda annoyed by the key and teardrop being separate..
programming keys isnt that hard..? Its in the user manual, and got my own spare key down 1st try..

Yeah the instructions is not hard at all but I don't know why I couldn't get it to sync. Tried over 20 times -___-
