Question what the deuce? High Boost?

Hi everyone, I am hoping some of your knowledge can help assist me with a recent finding.

I saw my boost gauge hit around .125 mpa and .13 mpa. It has never gone that high before. I only noticed it since I saw the gauge go past it's normal .11 mpa.
I really could not get a good reading since I was driving and freaked for a second. I'd say it was easily .125, maybe .13 mpa.

I quickly let off the gas. I did not receive a CEL or Fuel cut.

This is the first time I really nailed the gas 1st through 4th since my TBE install.

if I am correct, that's between 18.1 - 18.8 psi. I dont know much about the STI's yet. However, what I've read points to high boost for the car. True/False?

I am guessing it'll need to be looked at. No more lead foot until this is corrected.

Anyhow, why the sudden jump in boost? Any Thoughts?

Sorry for my lack of knowledge, still learning here.

Thanks in Adv.

ps. the car is tuned with AP and Custom Maps, not sure if it's AP stage 2 or not.

Yeah I was just researching about Boost Creep and seems to be just that. good thing I backed off quickly.

Time to get the wastegate ported.

Is there some where local? Price Ranges?

Again thanks in adv.

GST will do it, give them a call. and dont believe ANYONE that tells you boost creep can be eliminated with tuning or boost controller.

You say this is the first time you really got on the car since the TBE install. Were you tuned for the TBE? What boost were you tuned for?

hard to tell to be honest. My ecu is married to an AP with Custom Maps, the previous owner did not devorce the ECU, I love that word.

From the dyno and looks of it, it seem it was tuned for TBE. I can't be for sure though. I am awaiting to devorce the ECU and get it retuned.

I hit .11 mpa all day long before the TBE. Again I dont nail the gas too often but it seems that the creepage is common from what I have read?
