Senior QA working for America's Army... We developed Army recruitment software/video games and I had to test the game! I even got to bring in my own guns in so they could 3D model them!
It didn't pay as much as my previous jobs where I did automation stuff at Adobe, but it paid all the bills and left me enough to buy toys which is good enough for me!
The place was awesome! We had a 3D capture room, the rest of the building was dimly lit and there was camo, fake guns, posters with guns, and we all got our own large offices. I almost forgot, we were on the 4th floor in a building in Emeryville so we had a spectacular view of the Golden Gate and the entire SF city scape out of our windows! (There was the freeway right below our building which separated us from the water which made our view "A million dollar view" as my old boss called it. It was a fun job, too. It was all great until they cut a bunch of jobs and lowered the funding... Its a shame that it had to happen.
Hating your job is the worst thing ever, you don't want to wake up in the morning, you dread going there, you can't wait to leave, etc...
Loving your job is the best thing ever. Considering how much time you spend there, I'll take a pay cut to enjoy my job!

I've had some pretty cool jobs. I lifeguarded through high school and early college. Nice for obvious reasons.
Through college I worked in the mountain bike industry. A sickness that hasn't worn off even though I have to pay retail, now. Got to travel and go to the trade shows and the big races.
My first job out of college was in technical sales at a "dotcom". We basically played pool and foosball all day while making calls. They took us out all the time and bought us tons of stuff. "Team-building".

I have two that really stick in my mind. One was as the chief editor for a car magazine by the name of Tuning Concept; most of you are probably too young to remember that magazine. I used to get invited to all kinds of track events, new car unveilings, and tire tests. I got media passes to all the races at Laguna for all the five years that I work for the magazine. My other favorite would be when I was an analyst for the City of San Jose's Independent Police Auditor. I really got to see all the behind the scenes things that went on at SJPD. Oh, all the stories that I heard...

HAHAHAH! I totally remember "The Edge" in PA!
At one point that place was HAPPENING! It went downhill from there.
Does anyone remember that nightclub in Fremont in Centerville that was open one night because someone was shot and killed the first day! I think Puff Daddy or someone was there for the grand opening.. This was before he was big. Not sure if it was puffy, but it def was some huge rap guy.

If its just simple paint jobs they dont have to drive it.. but if you were in a pretty bad accident and they had to replace stuff in the engine bay or for alignment reasons they drive it to make sure everything is ok.

That's funny, I'm holding an old issue I dug up in my room from 1997. I used to pick up issues of these at Next Collection in Oakland Chinatown when I was in high school. My cousin (Stanley Huang) said he knew some people who worked for TC. You guys were responsible for me getting into Subarus back when the 2.5RS first came out and there was a cover story on it. There was also an article about the coolest cars that aren't in US shores (Evo, WRX, GTR, FTO, Cosmo, etc). Great, now I feel old.
