Subaru 4-pots isn't technically a big brake kit. It uses WRX-sized rotors. It's a good brake caliper but can't match the stopping power of a true bbk like the StopTech paired with 17" wheels and stickier and wider tires than what comes on the WRX.

really? I'm kind of just going for the sti look because once my motor goes im just going to throw a usdm sti motor in because then new subarus are getting uglier and uglier. so the stoptechs are that much better??

For track duty, the Stoptechs win hands down.
I would choose the ones that suited 'MY' needs the best. For example, I chose Subaru 4-pots for many reasons:
1. They'll fit under my stock 16" when I go to the snow.
2. Many pad compounds are available and easy to find from $30 NAPA pads to $300 Pagid 'rotor-eater' race pads. This would satisfy both daily driver and intense track use
3. I paid $500 for NEW calipers, and buy perfectly good OE rotors dirt cheap from guys that drive WRX's like my grandma and upgrade to BBK for BALLER STATUS
4. I'll spend half as much on sticky R-Compound 245 series tires and still outbrake any STi / EVO / 350Z / or any other cars with big brakes and street tires on the track... (Unless they run race pads and actually know how to drive)
5. They give the mad JDM Flava on my GC8!! :RockOn - not mine:
Ask yourself this: What are you trying to acheive with a big brake kit? Most will say "So I can stop faster"... Under what conditions? Or are you just looking for something that looks cool? Wilwoods are cheap and look pretty. Brembo's have the racing name recognition, but are rather expensive to buy new. Best bang for the buck for Big+Effective+Look cool are the StopTech's in my opinion. Just make sure when you buy them from GST, have them throw in some Axxis ULTIMATE pads or something rather than those shtty Deluxe pads that come stock... Otherwise I'll outbrake you all day, and still have more MAD JDM FLAVA points than you!!! HAHAHAA
Hope this helps!
