04 STi, autozone 2nd best, 2 year warranty.had the car sitting for about a month and sure enough, it was dead. was abouot to get it prorated at autozone and even got their best one with a 3 year plan, but after a week of driving, the battery seems to be holding.

1990 toyota 4runner, sears die hard platimun. this, i learned, is a rebadge odyssey. costs around $190 which is more than the 8 month old red top optima that couldnt hold charge anymore.

as for my own personal history with optina, has been a long one. i started with a red top on my 4runner around 92 or 93. beck then they were a small company with Q/A. ever since, it's always been a optima in there with one time switching to a yellow top around 2000. around 2003, 2004 i bought another red top and that lasted until it could hold anymore charge around last year. once again, i prorated the red top with another red top at pep boys.

around 8 months into it, while the truck gets used only on the weekends, would not hold a charge anymore, even when recharges with a AGM specific charger.

right around that time, i learned about sears rebadge odysseys...

so far so good. had the truck sit for abour 3 weeks to a month. had to get a new alternator so it sat. when i finally got it swap, the batt was so low, even one of the portable charges wouldnt start the truck. had to connect my STi to start it. after about 3 days of driving, the battery seems to be up to normal...

crossing fingers...

Had a braile battery for about 3 years in the stock location. Replaced it 2 weeks ago as I was starting to have some issues with it. I've now got a Diehard in the car.

Ya, I don't know why, on the Forester, I left the lights on so many times, and once it died from leaving the interior lights on a few times, jumped it once, and it came back to life without a hint of hesitation! And it's really cold here in the winter, and really hot in the summer. All the cars spent A LOT of time in the snow (I live in it)

Props to the Panasonic stockers!
I would love to have one of those lightweight braille's, but idk how they would handle the cold weather.
