What "American cars" are really made in America?
NYtimes did their homework to show where today's cars built in North America really come from.

Pretty funny.. I have had friends who will only "buy American" and when this is said I ask "you mean made in America like a Camry or an American brand like my Camaro that was made in Canada?"
Thats why the Chrysler superbowl commercial with Eminem featured the new 200, because it's made in Michigan. Everyone was going "Use the 300, duh!" but its actually built in Canadiastan.

EDIT: The Shelby GT500 says the tranny is made in Mexico. Must be a 5 speed vs 6 speed thing.
Oh that's right... It's just the GT500 that gets the TR6060, I guess the rest get the crap tranny.

The question is not whether the parts are actually made here, but whether the majority of the money we pay is going to American companies, and into the American economy.
