Well Subie's gone, Now What!!

Sold the subaru wrx, now in need of a 4-door , automatic car that my wife can drive with our new son!! Any recommendations?

Legacy GT??
Do they make sport-shift out of these?

yeah, the LGT is available with a Sportshift Auto. Do it!!!!

Oh man, if you have to have automatic, might as well get a Lexus IS350, the 350 only comes in shagomatic, and it's a pretty sweet looking car w/ power to boot.

"Sucks" is a pretty judgemental statement- especially from someone who apparently hasn't experienced it themselves.

We have a 06 LGT wagon with the auto. Manual shifting any auto trans is not the same precise experience as a manual trans. But that said, the LGT maual shifts aren't so bad. There is a lag for sure, but its consistant. I've found that under moderate to heavy acceleration you want to ask for the shift about 1,000 rpm before you want the shift to take place. The LGT's auto and Sport auto modes are already pretty good for comfortable/sporty hands-off worry free driving so I don't end up using the manual mode all that often (but its fun to have the option).

yeah, except thats a 40k proposition instead of a 25k one

Keep in mind, this is for his WIFE. Not sure if shes speedracerette or not
